I am a new member and have just bought a Z3 1999. Very pleased with the car and its running beautifully, having driven it from England to our home in France, but one small problem is that when I turn on the ignition the airbag warning light comes on and remains on all the time. Have tried to find the switch to see if it is faulty but cannot locate it. Could anyone tell me where to find the switch or does anyone know what could cause this problem. I have also tried to find a workshop manual to buy without success so if anybody knows of one going spare I would like to buy it.

I cannot comment on individual models but it may be the passenger module under that seat...
You could get a bypass item off ebay with instructions to fit, this would extinguish the warning light...
