I have a a crack in the rear light cluster that lets water in.. So every now and then the computer tells me there's a brake light fault... But i have tried to change this light cluster but everyone i get hold of is different even if i get one from a car of the same age make and model... i could on the upside open a second hand bmw right hand side light shop if any ones interested

Hi Ben, Cannot understand how the same make, model and year is a different cluster, unless the place offering the light cluster is giving it from a coupe or something else, but you could put a silicon or something similar to prevent the water getting in, good luck.

well this is the problem ive had... my light cluster has 1 extra pin compared to all the others... Its obviously something to do with the computer.. I took one from a 325 with the same connector but that didnt work lol..
The silicon sounds a great idea.. ill give it a whirl

My drivers window doesnt seem to close fully and its starting to get on my tits.... Especially as i'm always on a motorway!
The doors lined up after closing but as i follow the line of the glass up to where it should be (in against the trim) it looks atleast 5mil out compared to the rest of it
Any suggestions or ideas? It may be a 52 plate but i've no other complaints so far......

Apart from:
Head gaskets on its way out,
Valve cover gasket leaking,
Engine rattle..
Clutch thrust bearing going,
2 cracked Alloys from a pot hole the other day ( now on e36 M3 alloys )
Leaking coilover from same pothole.. ( now back on standard suspension )
My cars great! =D shame its not looking quite as good atm =(
This car has had pretty much every common problem an e36 suffers from in my year of ownership.. And yet i still wont sell it =p
